LIAM
26, STATISTICAN / DATA-ANALYST, CORK IE
TRAINED AT SBG CORK
COMPLETED 2021
What were you fighting for? What was your ‘why’?
"I have been always big into physical activity and played a lot of GAA and soccer throughout my life, as well as being an avid gym goer. I have been big into watching MMA for the past 2-3 years and really want to try it out. One thing I remember my father telling me when I was younger, before he passed was never to be a critic on the sideline, without at least experiencing something of a given sport. So I thought this was the perfect opportunity as I needed something structured with an end goal, which Warrior Training provides."
What did you get out of the program physically?
"The main thing I got from it physically was the ability to overcome injuries and to be able to fight around them, having sprained my ankle in soccer about 12 weeks in."
What were some of the mental and emotional outcomes you experienced?
"I gained more inner confidence in myself and have used it to push myself back into study to try and pursue data analysis focused on martial arts."
What did you learn about yourself?
"I learned that doubt and most obstacles are just in the mind."
Did Warrior Training lead to any long term changes in your life, and if so what were they?
"It has taught me that I am in control of my life and where I want it to go, pushing me to to look into data analysis for MMA. I will also continue martial arts for the rest of my life."
What would you say to someone thinking about starting the Warrior Training Program?
"Join the Warrior Training family, you won’t regret it. And what else have you to be doing at 6 in the morning?"
