What were you fighting for? What was your ‘why’?
"My warrior journey began after my own Warrior my mother passed away in April 2019. I wanted to get a tattoo of my mother on my arm with the words warrior in me translated to Irish."
What did you get out of the program physically?
"I could not believe the scales from 19.5 stone to 16.5 stone I never seen those numbers in my adult life I was always at around 18.5-19.5 stone so I was amazed at the weight loss and the fitness levels and the positive lifestyle I had worked hard for through this program"
What were some of the mental and emotional outcomes you experienced?
"I was able to work through and say to my man I’ve started this for me and you I’m going to finish this for me and you so it was deep, my 3 sons and my wife and my family watched me fight in the octogan and win so that was another bonus - we were all winners on this program but for the family to witness their dad/husband/brother step in and fight was just amazing and to look back on it gives me great pleasure also the friendships that came from within the groups were amazing and still carry on today."
What did you learn about yourself?
"I learned that I can do anything I put my mind to with the right supports and structures in place and it’s so easy to fall back but if you have a team around you supporting you it’s truly amazing."
Did Warrior Training lead to any long term changes in your life, and if so what were they?
"Long term I know I can achieve anything I put my mind to ( welcome to the 5am club ) it’s very easy to disappear from the journey so to have an aftercare program for people to continue would be great and to build what the Warrior Training program into a daily weekly lifestyle would be amazing."
What would you say to someone thinking about starting the Warrior Training Program?
"This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity- I’ve been to gyms - PTs - other things etc there is none that compare to the deep waters of Warrior Training - do yourself a favour- at least try it - it might just change your life. It changed mine."
