What were you fighting for? What was your ‘why’?
My ALTA journey began four months after having my second child. As overjoyed as I felt with the new addition to our family, I was struggling both physically and mentally with the demands of parenthood.
Although I have always been overweight, I was now the heaviest I had ever been. I hadn't exercised in over a year, and felt incredibly unfit. I have also felt like I've lost a bit of my own identity since having children, and was convinced that I no longer had time for my own hobbies. I yearned to do something that was purely for myself.
I realised that I needed a big change in my life to get out of the rut I was in. Putting aside my (many) reservations about starting W2W as a new mum, I signed up, showed up, and haven't looked back.

What was the best thing about the course, physically?
I loved that I got to spend time on myself – every day. Even if it was early in the morning! Losing weight was incredibly rewarding as a tangible, visible transformation.
What was the best thing about the course, mentally and emotionally?
The best part of the whole course for me was the confidence I gained through the process. I felt like I got myself back.
